Native American Youth and Family Center (NAYA) seeks a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join its executive leadership team. The COO will provide strategic leadership and oversight of core operations functions, including HR/People, IT, Facilities, Capital Planning, and the systems and infrastructure that nurture this vibrant and diverse community-based organization serving the Portland metro area’s Native community. The ideal COO is a strategic leader who pairs systematic thinking with a relational approach. They can see the big picture while ensuring that complex initiatives move forward with clear ownership, realistic timelines, strong coordination, and accountability. They anticipate challenges before they become urgent, nurture people and culture, and build the infrastructure necessary to support NAYA's continued growth and long-term sustainability. The COO will work closely with the CEO and C-Suite to strengthen organizational alignment, advance strategic priorities, and create the conditions for NAYA’s people and programs to thrive.

Join NAYA Family Center and the NAYA Action Fund to help activate Native community members through leadership development, civic engagement, and advocacy across Oregon and Washington. You’ll lead the LEAD Program, support Legislative Days of Action in Salem and Olympia, coordinate community forums and advocacy events, and build relationships with community partners, elected officials, and Native leaders. If you’re organized, collaborative, self-motivated, and passionate about developing Native leadership and strengthening community power, we’d love to hear from you. Compensation for this role is $75,000-$85,000 per year.

Join our Healing Circle Program and provide culturally specific, survivor-centered support to Native youth ages 12–25 who are at risk of or experiencing sexual exploitation or trafficking. You’ll manage a caseload of 10–15 youth, providing case management, crisis intervention, safety planning, advocacy, and resource navigation. You’ll help young people pursue their goals and navigate systems including housing, health care, education, child welfare, and the justice system using a trauma-informed, harm reduction, strengths-based, and survivor-led approach. NAYA Family Center is seeking a dedicated and caring Housing Specialist to support families experiencing homelessness at khwat yaka haws (Auntie's Place) Family Shelter as they become document-ready, overcome rental screening barriers, and secure safe, affordable long-term housing. This role is central to maintaining a welcoming environment for families — leading stabilization planning, resource navigation, barrier mitigation, and flexible participant assistance that helps shelter families move into housing they can keep. If you're grounded, resourceful, and energized by helping families build stability, this role may be for you! The hourly pay rate for this role starts at $30/hour.

NAYA is seeking an on-call Sexual Assault Response Advocate to provide confidential, trauma-informed support to survivors during sexual assault exams, with a strong emphasis on culturally specific services for Native American survivors. This role delivers onsite crisis response and advocacy in hospitals and other medical settings. The advocate also coordinates follow-up care and connects survivors with ongoing support services as needed. This is a part-time position with required on call hours. Salary is $27hourly and $2.50 when on-call.

You will be joining a small, supportive teaching team that works together closely. This is an ideal role for a teacher at any stage of career, whether you are new to the classroom or you have experience but want to work within a new model. Pay for this position is $21-22 per hour.

NAYA Family Center is looking for compassionate and qualified Early Childhood professionals to join our Family Services Department as Teacher Aides. This role supports the teaching staff with maintaining classroom balance, supervision, and light custodial duties. In this role you will have the opportunity to connect with children, parents, and coworkers, ensuring positive and communicative interactions. The pay for this position is $20/hour

NAYA Family Center is looking for a passionate and dedicated Lead Preschool Teacher to support with the development and implementation of curriculum for preschool age children. This is a full-time position, starting salary is $25 hour.

NAYA Family Center is seeking a trauma informed, culturally aware community advocate to join our on-call team of Family Shelter Advocates. Pay is $28.33/hour with a $1.00 pay differential for hours worked between 7 pm and 7 am.

Join our Youth Housing Program and provide peer-based support to Native young adults ages 18–24 experiencing homelessness, housing instability, and substance use challenges. You’ll build trusting relationships, provide recovery-oriented and harm reduction support, connect youth with housing, health care, recovery, and community resources, and serve as a positive role model while helping young people move toward their goals. This is a part-time roe, approximately 20 hours a week.
