NAYA is an innovator and leader in quality culturally specific early childhood programming. Our programs and services have grown out of a community need to support and prepare our young children with opportunities that set them on paths of success.

THe programs
Chxi San Playgroup
Chxi San means “new day” in Chinook Wawa and is a community-based playgroup for parents and children (pre-birth to age five).

Early Head Start
Providing innovative childhood programming is an essential part of NAYA’s mission to serve everyone from babies to elders.

Preschool For All
Preschool for All (PFA) connects families in Multnomah County to free, inclusive, culturally responsive early education.

Ten’as Sun/Early Childhood
The Ten’as Sun Program focuses on three areas: (1) parent-child interaction (2) development centered parenting and (3) family well-being.

WIC Clinic
WIC is the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children.

Family First Advocate
Supports families in deep need who are at risk of being or are involved in the child welfare system with short-term, intensive support needs.

Chaku Kumtuks Illahee
NAYA’s new Early Learning Center located at the new Opportunity Center at NE 42nd Ave that will serve children from infancy through Preschool.
