
Daniel Guilfoyle (they/them) is Onöndowa'ga:' (Seneca) from the Alleghany Reservation in western New York. Since 2007, Daniel has been a dedicated advocate for urban Native communities, working with NAYA to support cultural and community growth after relocating from southern California. With over twenty years of experience in education, Daniel’s first role at NAYA was as an Education Specialist, collaborating with the Many Nations Academy’s first principal to help establish an alternative high school for Native youth. Since then, they have held numerous roles supporting the urban Native community in Portland. Currently, Daniel
serves as the Director of Youth and Education Services.
They also serve on the University of Oregon’s Ballmer Institute Children’s Behavioral Health Advisory Board and are a member of the Board of Directors for Cascade AIDS Project, Our House, and Prism Health. Committed to fostering a healthy and thriving community, Daniel actively advocates for Native youth, health, and education initiatives in Portland.
