Healthy Kids is health coverage for Oregon's children and teens that don't have health insurance. Kids with current health conditions can enroll. Children that already have health care may apply, however, they will generally need to meet the requirement of being uninsured for two months; there are several exceptions that make it possible for children that do have health care to be able to bypass the two months of uninsured.
Coverage lasts for 12 months and can be longer upon renewal. Healthy Kids is based on a family's income and there are three health care coverage options: no cost, low cost, and full cost. This means no family makes too much to apply whether employed, self-employed, or unemployed. For example, a family of four with $66,000 annual income qualifies.
A child must be under the age of 19 and must live in Oregon and be a legal resident.
