Post – Secondary Education Class
Are you thinking of going back to school? Or are you in school and could use a little help? Traditional, first generation, non-traditional, whether you are in college, dreaming of going back to school, or a senior in high school, we are here to help you plan and prepare for a better college experience.
Class topics include: The value of an education, the importance of planning and making goals. Choosing schools and researching your options. Making your money work for you: grants, loans, scholarships, IDA’s, work study and a financial aid breakdown. Other topics include: time management for success, creating an educational resume and tips on balancing school, life, kids and home work, and still get some sleep.
This is a four hour class with one class per week. Each class will consist of two hours.
Free dinner, coffee and water will be provided, as well as classroom supplies and student binders. Please arrive on time for door prize tickets! This class is open to everyone.
Class Dates: July 20 & 27, Sept. 21 & 28 and Nov. 3 & 10, Jan. 2010 5 & 12, Mar. 2 & 9, May 4 & 11, July 6 & 13, Sept. 7 & 14, Nov. 2 & 9th.
