Christine Dupres

Chris Dupres. Ph.D. is an enrolled member of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe of SW Washington, as well as Cree and French Canadian. She most recently worked at Lewis & Clark College Graduate School of Education and Counseling on an “Indigenous Ways of Knowing Project” where she served as project coordinator; prior to that Chris worked at the Oregon Historical Society on a tribal cultural documentation assignment. Social justice work is of great importance to her. She has considerable experience working with Native communities and populations and is deeply invested in such work as her life’s vocation. She is also an experienced teacher and has taught classes ranging from college composition to dance.  She received her Ph.D. in Folklore from the University of Pennsylvania. She likes to write, laugh, dance, and be outside. She values her community and family and is the happy mom of three wonderful children.
